Privacy Policy & GDPR

1. Who we are

Conectora.ai is a private professional matching service operated by ArtificialTech, a company registered in the Netherlands. As a Dutch-registered entity, we are subject to Dutch data protection law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), supervised by the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP), the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

2. What data we collect and why

• Public profile data: first name, last name, title, languages spoken, LinkedIn, offer, and ask. Used for matching and may be shared with potential connections.
• Private data: email and phone number. Used only to contact you. Never shared with third parties.
• Optional enrichment data: company, location, bio, website, tags, and internal notes added by the Conectora.ai team during curation.
• Optional lifestyle & personal preferences: self-declared, optional information you may add to improve matching — for example employment situation, personal/introduction context, personality type, wellbeing interests, hobbies and interests. Always optional, with a "Prefer not to say" option available.
• Optional gender & orientation (special-category data): you may optionally provide your gender and who you are interested in (for personal/romantic introductions). Because data concerning a person's sex life or sexual orientation is a special category under GDPR Article 9, we collect it only with your separate, explicit consent, given via a dedicated checkbox. These fields are disabled until you opt in, default to "Prefer not to say", are used solely to improve your matches, are never shared without your knowledge, and can be cleared at any time by you. If you do not consent, this data is never stored.
• Consent records: we log the date and scope of the consent you gave at the time of submission, as required by GDPR Article 7.

Apart from the optional gender & orientation fields described above (processed only on explicit consent), our fields are preferences, not statements about your health, beliefs, or personal status. Please do not enter other sensitive information (for example medical conditions or racial/ethnic origin) into free-text fields. Anything you choose to share remains optional and processed only on the basis of your consent.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your general personal data on the basis of your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given at the time you submit your profile. Where you optionally provide special-category data (your gender and orientation), we rely on your separate, explicit consent under GDPR Art. 9(2)(a), given through a dedicated checkbox before those fields can be completed. You may withdraw any consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

4. Use of AI

We use AI models to summarise profiles, suggest matches, and classify opportunities. AI does not make autonomous decisions: every match is validated manually by a human before any introduction is made.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

• Access: request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Rectification: correct any inaccurate data.
• Erasure: request deletion of your full profile ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Objection: object to processing for matching purposes.
• Withdraw consent: withdraw at any time with no penalty.

6. Data retention

Data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will erase your data within 30 days and confirm by email.

7. Storage & security

Data is stored on servers within the EU. We do not sell or share data with third parties outside the service. Internal access is restricted to the Conectora.ai team.

8. Complaints

If you believe your data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As our company is registered in the Netherlands, our lead supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP). You may also contact the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
